Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Drape (the “App”), including signing up for the waitlist or using any features of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Drape (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a service operated under the laws of India. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Drape. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App. By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and current.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at mail@drape.co.in if you suspect any unauthorized access.

3. User Content and Wardrobe Data

Drape allows you to upload photographs and descriptions of clothing items to create a digital wardrobe catalog (“User Content”). You retain all ownership rights in your User Content.

By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Store and display your wardrobe photos within the App on your behalf
• Process images using AI models to identify garment attributes and generate outfit suggestions
• Use aggregated, anonymized data to improve the accuracy of our AI recommendations

We will not sell your wardrobe photos or share them with third parties for their own marketing purposes. You may delete your User Content at any time from within the App, and we will remove it from our systems within 30 days of deletion.

4. Email Integration

Drape offers an optional feature that connects to your email account (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, or other supported providers) to import your clothing purchase history from order confirmation emails. This integration is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit consent at the time of connection.

Our email access is strictly limited to the following:

• Read-only access — we never send, delete, or modify any emails
• We only scan for order confirmation emails from known retailers
• Parsed order data (item name, retailer, approximate date) is stored; raw email content is not
• You may revoke access at any time via your email provider's security settings or within the App

When Gmail is your connected provider, our use of data obtained via Google APIs is additionally subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use email data for advertising or for training AI models beyond your individual outfit suggestions.

5. Location and Calendar Data

Drape may request access to your device's location and calendar to provide weather-appropriate and occasion-aware outfit suggestions:

• Location — your city-level location is used to determine local weather conditions. You may deny or revoke location access at any time; the App will fall back to a default location
• Calendar — your on-device calendar events are analyzed locally to classify the type of day you have (e.g. formal, casual, athletic). Only the classified category, event count, and timing metadata are sent to our servers — raw event titles never leave your device

Both permissions are optional. The App remains functional without them, though outfit suggestions may be less personalized.

6. AI Features

Drape uses artificial intelligence to analyze your wardrobe and generate outfit suggestions. AI recommendations may incorporate your wardrobe catalog, location-based weather data, and classified calendar context to personalize results.

These suggestions are provided for informational and personal styling purposes only. AI recommendations may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific needs. You acknowledge that AI-generated suggestions do not constitute professional fashion or personal styling advice. We make no guarantees about the suitability or accuracy of any recommendation.

You may disable AI-powered suggestions from within the App. When disabled, outfit suggestions are generated locally on your device.

The App may display affiliate links to clothing items that complement your existing wardrobe. If you purchase an item through an affiliate link, Drape may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are personalized based on your wardrobe data and are clearly distinguishable from non-commercial content.

7. Waitlist

By submitting your email address to join the Drape waitlist, you agree to receive occasional updates about the App's launch and development. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the App or any particular feature. We reserve the right to invite users at our discretion.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the App's systems
• Use the App to build a competing product or service without our prior written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its infrastructure
• Upload photographs of other individuals without their consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for any violation of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and other materials comprising the Drape App (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our name, logo, or other brand elements without our prior written permission.

Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you share with us about the App may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any AI-generated suggestions will be accurate or appropriate for your use.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand).

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We encourage you to contact us first at mail@drape.co.in before initiating any legal proceedings. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes informally.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at mail@drape.co.in. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Sections 3, 9, 10, 11, and 12 survive termination of these Terms.
